Privacy
Nowfield provides anonymous community check-ins and browser-local cards. The current version does not create user accounts or collect payment details itself.
Anonymous Check-ins
When you confirm a check-in, we send a random browser identifier and your selected state to a Cloudflare Worker. Workers KV stores the state with an automatic expiry of 3 to 15 minutes. Public responses contain aggregate counts, not individual identifiers. You can check out early; updates and expiry may take additional time to propagate. These self-reported check-ins are not verified people or global population estimates.
Cloudflare processes connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. Operational logs may record request details according to the hosting configuration. The application does not store IP addresses in check-in records.
Local Data
The app stores simple local counters in your browser storage, such as view count, generated card count, and download count, as well as an anonymous check-in identifier and optional Memory drafts. Clearing browser data removes local records. Selected photos are processed on your device and are not sent to the check-in service or saved in the Memory archive.
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand page views, country-level traffic, device type, referrers, and anonymous product events such as activity selection, card downloads, and share clicks. We do not use analytics to create user profiles or identify individual visitors. Interface diagnostics include endpoint names, error categories, and request duration, without photo contents, private card text, diary text, or check-in identifiers.
On the production site, the first source and campaign may be kept in local storage. Current campaign tags and the external referring origin are kept in tab session storage, with a 30-minute inactivity limit. Later direct visits are not automatically assigned to an old campaign. This tab-based attribution is separate from the analytics provider's visitor and session estimates. Do Not Track, preview pages and this browser's analytics exclusion preference disable analytics and new attribution storage. If the exclusion preference cannot be read, analytics stays off. The exclusion preference is stored locally and does not remove your drafts or disable check-ins.
Share Links
New template links include the selected activity, template, format and date, but not your words or photo. Older links may already contain a note. When opened, that note is read into the editor and removed from the address before analytics loads. This cannot remove copies of older links.
Studio Drafts and Favorites
Upload image opens a file on your device for local editing; it does not publish a template. Custom image links open an empty starting point. Search words, original image filenames and editable text layers are not sent to analytics. Selecting a template does not check you in.
Saving an unfinished text draft is optional and off by default. If enabled, the latest text and layout settings, including custom text layers, are kept in this browser. Photos are not saved with this draft and must be selected again. You can clear the draft in the studio. Favorites store template identifiers only. These records are separate from your Memory archive and do not sync between devices.
Share image passes the exported card to your device's sharing service and the destination you select. The image includes the words and photo visible on the card. Nowfield does not upload the original photo to its own servers.

If direct submission is not configured, the text is only stored locally in your browser until you open your mail app or copy it. If direct submission is enabled later, your submission text and optional contact details are sent to the configured form endpoint.
